No Lessons- Nov 20-23 and Dec 20-Jan 1
Group Class- Nov 30, 4-4:45 p.m. This is a wonderful opportunity for my students to practice performing their recital songs. We will also be playing some fun Christmas music games.
Recital- Dec 8, 2-2:45 p.m. at my studio.
I know that life gets busy, but it is very important for your child(ren) to practice every day. If a student is not prepared by Nov 30 for the recital I will not allow them to participate on Dec 8. I want my students to have successful experiences, so please encourage them to practice every day. Prepared does not necessarily mean memorized. Signs they are not prepared are constantly pausing while playing, or constantly going back to fix mistakes. During lessons we talk about how exactly they should be practicing in order to be prepared. If you have any questions please contact me.
I will be using My Music Staff much more in the coming months. If you have not received a login email in the past you will be receiving one today. Please login to view your payment balance, check lesson notes (will be starting this by the beginning of December), and to pay your tuition online. The wonderful thing about paying in the Parent portal of My Music Staff is that you can set up a recurring payment so that you don’t have to worry about it each month. Take a look around the Parent Portal and let me know which resources you think will be most beneficial to you and your child’s learning.

Let’s Play Music Classes
I’m so excited to be able to offer this new group class for 4-6 year olds.
Let’s Play Music is an innovative curriculum which will lead your child (entry ages 4-6) from very basic music introduction using singing, simple instruments, and piano through a three year program.
This program is great for all children, not only those interested in playing the piano. Your child will develop a great ear, learning how to hear intervals and sing on pitch. They will also learn how to read music as well as compose their own songs. There is no program for this age of children that gives your child such a solid foundation.
Classes are weekly with parents attending every other week during the first year and monthly for the 2nd and 3rd years.
